If your home is vacant, put some effort into staging it so that buyers can see what it looks like lived in.

Don’t worry, I have that one covered, but it’s important. The days where agents could put a home on the MLS and walk away are over. It’s a competitive market out there, and it’s the competitively priced and marketed homes that are selling. Forgotten listings form undercommitted or part-time agents go unsold and eventually go back to the bank oftentimes.

The bottom line if you want to sell your home fast is to remember that the real estate market is competitive, now more than ever. Buyers have plenty of choices to pick and choose from among the available listings, and to get your home sold fast, it needs to stand out as a good value.
